No, I'm not a trekee by any standards- but I enjoyed watching it with my parents when I was little. It's one of those cultural things that I'm glad I know something about and understand the references- I also enjoyed my dad flying us around the room during the theme song.
I'm not a trekee either, but my grandma and father used to watch it with us. Ah the fond memories of childhood... I was too big for any flying.
